After a founder submitted his idea/startup the CouchTycoon.net team takes a closer look at the submission, the startup and the team. If it is plausible we will make an interview and the startup will be listed.

With a Venture Poster you also get an Asset Slip. Every one who has an Asset Slip can vote for one of the competing startups. The startup which gets the most votes will be financed.

An Asset Slip is the digital, virtual share you get with the purchase of a Venture Poster

You can also buy Asset Slips from other CouchTycoon on the venture market after a venture was financed successfully.

An Asset Slip offers you the rights and responsibilities like the real shares. Each Asset Slip gives you the right for one vote on a venture. Read more about Asset Slips

Now your Asset Slips are offered on the venture market for the price you´ve set. If any other CouchTycoon wants to buy some of the Asset Slips you offer for the price you´ve set, the deal is perfect.
If no one is interested in the Asset Slips you offer, you can´t sell.

Select the number of Asset Slips you want to buy for the offered price. That´s it.

That means:
Your couch shows your Asset Slip´s inbox. Every incoming Asset Slip is listed to the price it came in. However if given with a Venture Poster or if purchased on the venture market. It also shows your not sold Asset Slip, you tried to sell on the venture market which you got back from the venture market because you didn´t sell them (for any reason).

"My Asset Slips On The Exchange" shows the Asset Slips (shares) you currently have on the venture market for sale.
Clicking "get back" brings your Asset Slip back to "your couch" (marked with the value you tried to sell them).

Mr. Idle holds the real shares in trust. PIPELINE ventures GmbH is the real shareholder of fully financed ventures. The fictional share called "Asset Slip" provides you similar rights like holding the real share. PROMISED!

It´s up to the CouchTycoons who own the Asset Slips.
Every Asset Slip counts as one vote. Every entrepreneur who sold Asset Slips on CouchTycoon has to start shareholder votes on different topics.

There is one obligatory question every entrepreneur has to ask his shareholders once a year.
Q: Should the project remain traded on CouchTycoon?
A: Yes/No

Every entrepreneur can start as many else votes as he wants to use the wisdom of crowds. For example he can ask his shareholders about new products and services he wants to launch within the project.

However. What kind of voting it is, every shareholder can vote with the weight of Asset Slips he owns at the time of voting.
If a CouchTycoon owns one Asset Slip of a venture, his vote counts for one vote. If he has got 50 Asset Slips, his vote will count for the weight of 50 votes.

So it can´t be a frequently asked one.
