This week saw the official media launch of Yamaha’s new F70A Four Stroke – the lightest four-stroke yet seen in this power range and class. James Hill reports.

Yamaha says they confidently expect this new 70hp four-stroke to become its biggest selling mid-size motor, surpassing the F60A that has been their top seller since its launch in 2005.

The new F70A is also expected to take business away from other clean-tech brands thanks to its excellent hole-shot performance and lighter weight on the transom.
